I believe healing happens through connection. My goal is for therapy to feel safe, relational and guided by the unique needs of each person I work with. As an attachment and relationship-oriented therapist, I believe meaningful change begins when people feel genuinely seen, understood and accepted. I place great importance on building a strong therapeutic relationship while helping clients strengthen the relationships that matter most in their lives. Whether I am working with an individual, a young person or a family, I aim to create a space where people feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences, develop new insights and create meaningful, lasting change.
My clinical background is in community mental health, where I have worked in both senior clinician and clinical leadership roles supporting children, adolescents, adults and families experiencing a wide range of mental health presentations. I have a particular interest in men's mental health, supporting people through life transitions, and helping parents navigate the adjustments that come with raising children and building family life. I also enjoy working alongside culturally and linguistically diverse individuals and families, supporting them to navigate relationships, identity and belonging in ways that honour their values, culture and lived experiences.
Throughout my career I have worked extensively with people who have experienced trauma. I understand that trauma can shape the way we experience ourselves, others, and the world around us, often influencing our relationships, emotions and sense of safety. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity and connection, creating a space where people can process difficult experiences at a pace that feels right for them. Alongside evidence-based trauma therapies, I focus on helping people rebuild trust, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with their own sense of safety and resilience.
I work with children from 10 years of age, adolescents and adults. While ensuring young people have a safe, confidential space to understand themselves and work through their own experiences, I also support the relationships around them, recognising that lasting change often happens when young people and their support network grow together. My approach is collaborative, child-led and developmentally informed, balancing a young person's voice with the strengths and needs of their family.
My practice draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
As a Family Therapist, I am passionate about helping families reconnect, improve communication and better understand one another. I believe stronger relationships create the foundation for healing, resilience and growth. Whether families are navigating conflict, emotional disconnection, parenting challenges or major life transitions, my role is to help each family member feel heard while fostering greater understanding, connection and trust within the family. My work draws on Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), Systemic Family Therapy, Bowen Family Systems Theory and Structural Family Therapy, allowing me to tailor my approach to the unique strengths and needs of every family.I enjoy working with adolescents and adults, and I take a person-centred approach to ensure that each individual has their needs met.
