Hi I'm Cate,

I offer a warm and welcoming therapy space where children, young people, adults and families can feel safe, seen, and supported. At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship, where each person feels gently held in their experiences, and invited to explore their inner world with curiosity and care.

As a creative, multi-modality therapist, I use a client-centred approach that meets children where they are. I draw on a range of expressive therapies including drawing, painting, sandtray, clay, drama, storytelling and play. These approaches are tailored to each session to suit the child/adolescent's unique strengths, preferences and pace. I aim to create a therapeutic journey that feels engaging, meaningful, and led by the young person's own voice and needs.

I have over 12 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults and families across a wide range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, trauma, grief and loss, family separation, school-related issues and bullying. I bring sensitivity to working across diverse cultures and abilities, and take care to create inclusive spaces for all.

I am especially passionate about early intervention and the neuroscience that underpins creative, whole-brain therapeutic work. I continue to deepen my knowledge in evidence-informed practices that connect mind, body and nervous system, allowing therapy to be a regulating, healing and empowering experience.

Parents and carers are warmly welcomed into the process of therapy with me and my child/adolescent clients, with opportunities to reflect, ask questions and explore ways to support therapeutic interventions at home. I offer psychoeducation when appropriate, and for NDIS participants, I align supports with goals that nurture meaningful, real life change.

I look forward to welcoming you into the therapy space at Little Window.
