Hello, I’m Vikki.

My therapy space will give you an opportunity to tell your story, explore your creative self and tap into your inner wisdom. I am a sensitive, warm and open person who is able to create a calm and reassuring environment in which you can explore your concerns in a way that works for you. I am interested in hearing your story and supporting you within a nurturing and safe therapeutic relationship to work towards meaningful change. I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, adults, parents and families.

As a Dramatherapist I take a person-centred approach, whilst offering a variety of creative mediums to explore with, such as storytelling, sandtray, visual art, drama and movement to suit individual needs and interests. If you prefer talk therapy, I also use talk therapies with my clients and I am particularly drawn to evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as trauma-informed therapy, Polyvagal theory, Internal Family Systems and Attachment-based therapy

I aim to create a comfortable space where you can connect/reconnect with your creative side and allow yourself a new perspective on your concerns. My approach is gentle and nurturing and allows you to explore your story directly, indirectly and creatively, as well as allowing the opportunity for you to experience different ways of being. In my 20 years of experience, I have never wavered from my passion for using Dramatherapy and other creative therapies to support children, their parents, teenagers and adults in different stages of their life journey. I have extensive experience in supporting people with learning disabilities as well those who are dealing with anxiety, complex trauma or emotional difficulties.

When I work with children, I will often utilise the language of play as this is how they experience and communicate with the world around them. This can be particularly helpful when I support parents in finding a ‘play language’ that can help to connect with their child.

For teenagers or adults my dramatherapy sessions can give you space to see your own stories and life roles from a different viewpoint and in a relaxed and non-confrontational way. I like to be responsive to an individual by providing an approach that works for them and fits their needs, whether that be talking or engaging in creative therapies.

I am deeply passionate about supporting your inner journey and helping you find the way forward to improving your emotional and mental well-being.

Some of the areas I enjoy working with include:

  • Anxiety

  • Attachment trauma and complex trauma

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, ODD

  • Parenting

  • Selective Mutism

  • Grief and loss

  • Transitions

  • Emotional regulation

  • Social and communication skills

  • Self-esteem and identity

Outside of my therapeutic work, I spend a lot of time watching movies, cooking and making different ice creams to try out. I love spending time with my family, friends and our very energetic dog. Alongside this I like to find time to work with different art mediums such as painting, drawing and collage.
