I am a detail-oriented, intuitive and sensitive person, compelled to connect with the people I work with in a meaningful way, and on a deeper level. Over the past twenty years as a therapist, I’ve found that the most powerful work happens when therapy moves beyond traditional talk-based therapy, when we turn inwards and attune to our connection with both body and Self.
Counselling for me is about having a safe relationship in which you can examine and express your truth, and show up exactly as you are. It is important to me to hold a space where you can feel seen and heard, and I will meet you with compassion wherever you may be in your emotions. I also enjoy bringing in lightness, ease and laughter into sessions.
I believe therapists can only accompany clients to the depths they’ve been willing to explore within themselves. My own ongoing therapy is therefore a deeply valued part of both my personal life and professional practice. To me, therapy is a lifelong process of learning, unlearning, healing, and coming home to ourselves.
Neuroscience, quantum physics and contemplative research has taught us that the mind and consciousness is encapsulated not only in the brain; it exists throughout the whole body, and beyond. In my work I am interested in how you can learn to listen to the wisdom and cues of your inner knowing, to support deeper self-understanding and more integrated healing.
I take an intersectional feminist approach that considers not only your personal experiences, but also the impact of societal systems, family dynamics, and the burdens that can be passed down through generations and shaped by cultural context. We explore how these layers shape your emotional well-being, your roles in relationships, and your sense of identity.
Some of my work in therapy with you may be IFS-led (Internal Family Systems), meaning sessions are guided by a deep respect for the different ‘parts’ of you that have developed to survive, protect, and make sense of your world. Rather than trying to fix or eliminate symptoms, we slow things down and get curious about what each part needs, while strengthening access to your core Self: the place of calm, clarity, compassion, and wisdom. This approach allows therapy to feel collaborative, non-pathologising, and attuned, supporting lasting change by helping your internal system feel safer, more understood, and more integrated over time.
My counselling style also draws from Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Attachment Theory, Person-Centred Therapy, Neuropsychotherapy, Trauma-informed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Expressive/Creative Therapies, Sandplay Therapy, and Non-Directive Child Centred Play Therapy with children. The therapeutic connection we form and the approach that I take will be unique to each individual.
I am drawn to the unseen threads that connect us: energy, intuition, dreams, and consciousness. For me, the mystical isn’t separate from the practical. It is woven into the way I see people, mental wellness, and the world around us.
I look forward to meeting you, and working with you at Little Window.
