Hi there, I’m Sarah.

I have always been deeply interested in people’s stories and the many ways our minds seek to make meaning of our human experiences. I bring warmth, empathy, and curiosity to my work, and believe counselling offers a transformative space for creative exploration, fresh perspectives, and healing. I hold a gentle belief that at every stage of life, there are possibilities for reflection, growth, and meaningful change.

At the heart of my practice is the importance of relational safety and connection. I see the therapeutic relationship as central to healing ~ a space built on trust, authenticity, and collaboration. In our sessions, my intention is to understand you as a whole person: to honour your lived experience, draw upon your inner wisdom, and support the strengths and insights that already exist within you.

My counselling style integrates a variety of therapeutic frameworks, including feminist-based practices, and an understanding of how trauma can be experienced and expressed through the body. I also hold awareness of intergenerational trauma ~ the ways in which stories, beliefs, and emotional patterns can echo across families and communities ~ and the importance of healing within this broader context.

Grounded in my background in philosophy, I value thoughtful dialogue about how our social and cultural systems shape who we are and how we relate to the world. Through an intersectional lens, I recognise the complex interplay of privilege and oppression that influences each person’s story. I am passionate about creating space for awareness, authenticity, and acts of resistance that nurture empowerment, connection, and meaningful personal and social change.

I believe that counselling provides a beautiful invitation to safely explore vulnerability, identity, and relationships with care. Through this process, we can deepen our understanding of ourselves and foster more authentic connections with others and the world we live in.

I provide therapy support to adults, and the areas I am passionate about include:

  • Sexual violence and abuse counselling

  • Domestic violence support

  • Trauma

  • Self-harm and suicidality

  • Boundaries and self-worth

  • Identity and self-empowerment

  • Life transitions

  • Relationships and sexuality

  • Grief and loss

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Perinatal support

Outside of being a therapist, I am a mother to little humans and one fluffy dog. I love connecting with nature, bush walking and going on travel adventures. Cooking is a true love of mine ~ I am happiest when exploring new recipes and cuisines, cooking too much and feeding the people I love.

You deserve a space where your story is heard, understood, and held with care. I truly look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you in your next steps.
